An alleged leaked promotional poster from KT has likely confirmed the design of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, along with pre-order bonuses and the date when customers may get the option to pre-order the next flagship. According to this new information, Samsung's next Unpacked event for the Galaxy S23 series may be held on January 5th.
Assuming the poster is legit, it has to do with the advanced pre-registration program that KT may have in store for the upcoming Galaxy S23 range. The leaked poster indicates that KT customers can sign up for the Galaxy S23 from December 23. KT is the second largest mobile operator in South Korea.
The poster also indicates that the registration period will end on January 5, 2023, and may be followed by a pre-order period beginning on the same day. (via OreXda). In other words, the next major Unpacked event for the Galaxy S23 series may have been scheduled for January 5, 2023.
Attention: Registration does not require potential buyers to pay any fees. Recordings allow customers to show interest in an upcoming product and possibly get a better place in the queue once pre-orders start running.
Galaxy S23 design, announcement, and pre-order bonus confirmed?
Several leaks and rumors so far have confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy S23 series will approach the camera design from a different angle compared to previous years. Or more specifically, all three variants of the Galaxy S23 will borrow the camera design language from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, that is, they will not have a camera hump but simple individual circular apertures for each rear sensor.
This purported KT promotional poster appears to confirm these reports, although the word "confirmed" might be a bit excessive since we can't verify the authenticity of the leak. However, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, as shown in this alleged leaked poster, each have three rear cameras surrounded by metal rings. The back panels look glossy, similar to the Galaxy S22 series, and the Galaxy S23+ retains the green color option from this year's model.
The poster also states that customers who pre-order may get a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds for free - or at a lower price - although pre-order rewards can vary by market.
Will Samsung announce the Galaxy S23 series on January 5 at the end of the alleged registration period? Earlier reports said the company intends to bring the upcoming flagship to market earlier rather than later to close the Galaxy S22 chapter and leave the GOS controversy behind as soon as possible. Time will tell.
